Due to the high volume of readers of our first two issues, we gladly announce that the Journal for Manuscript and Text Cultures (MTC) is now moving from one to two issues per year. We anticipate that we will continue to run one of the two yearly issues on themed topics as per our recent publications but will include open submissions for the second yearly issue.

If you are interested in submitting an article to MTC we kindly ask that you please consult our submissions page with the relevant authors guidelines.

MTC follows a strictly double-blind peer review process. Articles are published Open Access under the Creative Commons Attributions-ShareAlike 4.0 licence, which means that you as the author retain the copyright and control over your publication. MTC provides full editorial support to guarantee high-quality publications.

Articles should be specialised but accessible to members of other academic disciplines so we can reach the goal of cross-subject pollination. We encourage authors to include hi-res photographic reproductions of the objects under discussion, which we publish in colour.
